Day 1. Transfer from Tashkent to Bishkek takes
9-10 hrs (600 km) Travel past the large cities of Chimkent and Djambul.
Most of the way is along the territory of Kazakstan. As you get closer
to Bishkek the grandiose mountains of Kirziskiy range appear with the summits
covered by snow. Lunch is served on the way.
Day 2. Sight-seeing in Bishkek includes visits to the historical-architectural complex Buran's Tower (situated 70 km from Bishkek), House-Museum of Frunzer, a historical museum, the Museum of Arts, Ala-Too and Pobeda (Victory) Squares, Dubovoi and Banfilova Parks, and the local bazaar. Day 3. Transfer from Bishkek to Almata takes 4 hours (270 km). The road goes along the Zaaminskiy Alatau range. Upon arrival in Almata you will check into the hotel. Sight-seeing includes visiting the Park of 28 Panfilovtsev, a wooden cathedral, St Nikolai Church, and the Museum of Musical Instruments. Day 4. Visit a high-mountainous skating rink in Medeo and the landslide-protective dam situated in the mountains of Zailiiskiy Alatau at an altitude of 1690 m. Enjoy short walks, a picnic and free time in the evening. Day 5. Depart home. |
